The château is located in the heart of the village of Sainte-Sévère-sur-Indre, at 5 Rue Émile Chenon.
From Paris: A20 towards Limoges, take the Châteauroux exit, then the D943 via La Châtre — approximately 3 hours 15 minutes.
From Bourges: approximately 1 hour 15 minutes via Châteaumeillant and Culan.
From Lyon and Clermont-Ferrand: via Montluçon and Boussac.
Free on-site parking.
By rail...
Châteauroux train station, 50 km away (approximately a 45-minute drive).
Direct Intercités service between Paris-Austerlitz and Châteauroux; journey time is approximately 2 hours 10 minutes, with several departures daily.
By air...
Limoges-Bellegarde Airport, approximately 1 hour 45 minutes.
Châteauroux-Centre airfield accessible to private aviation.
There are no train stations in Sainte-Sévère or La Châtre; plan to rent a car or arrange a transfer from Châteauroux or Limoges. Private shuttle service is available upon request, starting at €60 per vehicle.
Practical information
Check-in at the Château inn from 4:00 PM; check-out by 11:00 AM.
Free parking within the estate grounds.
Accessibility: the ground floor and the park are accessible; the guest rooms are located upstairs, accessible via a period staircase. Parking and access for guests with reduced mobility are available upon request.
Late check-in available upon request.
